Vault variants

These vaults are strewn around the field, carrying information and resources that the Magisters have hidden away. Descendants are able to locate them, then attempt decryption by solving a simple minigame to claim rewards stored inside.

Several rarities of Vaults appear:

  • Encrypted Storage Box
  • Precise Encrypted Vault
  • Ultraprecise Encrypted Vault

Code Analyzer

In order to interact with the Vault, a special key item is needed. Code Analyzers come in different rarities and only a matching Code Analyzer can be used to open a Vault.

The item is consumed whether or not the vault is successfully opened.

Minigame

Minigame screen

Interacting with the Vault initiates a minigame that features a spinning dial and requires the player to time a button press when the arrow is inside the highlighted sector before the time indicated by the bar at the bottom runs out. The center shows which button needs to be pressed, and can switch between attempts. The player has to successfully hit the sector two times in a row to finish the minigame.

Higher rarity Vaults have more difficult minigames by having increasingly narrower sectors. Pictured on the right is the highest difficulty minigame.

Locations

Vaults appear randomly in predefined locations in certain field areas. Markings left by the Magisters indicate a proximity of a Vault location. Ecive Scan will emit a beep when a Vault is detected nearby.

Vaults may not always appear at the listed locations. After being opened, the Vault disintegrates and will only reappear after a set amount of time has passed.
